God of War for PC is not being developed by Santa Monica Studio

Ori and The Will Of The Wisps is a Genre Video Game Adventure-Platform and Metroidvania developed by Moon Studios and published by Xbox Game Studios for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It is a continuation of the title of 2015 Ori and The Blind Forest and was announced during E3 2017. Its launch occurred on March 11, 2020. The game was planned to be a 4K UHD title, with improvements for Xbox One X and Xbox Play Anywhere.

PlayStation Studios and the Developer Santa Monica Studio announced last week that the title of action and adventures acclaimed by the criticism of 2018 dios of the war, would eventually reach PC at the beginning of 2022. Bearing in mind that the announcement was shared in part by the From Santa Monica Studio, who created the original game for PlayStation 4, was assumed that the study could be working once more in this new version for PC.. However, it turns out that this will not be the case after all, since PlayStation has now revealed that an external developer is handling most of the work in this PC port.

In a new statement that was delivered to Arstechnica, Sony confirmed that dios of war in PC is simply supervised by Santa Monica Studio. Instead, the work to take the PS4 to PC game is done mainly Jetpack Interactive. Previously, Jetpack Interactive has not worked directly with Sony, but has a history of carrying many other titles in the past.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this Sony movement is that the editor now has what seems to be its own internal port developer. Earlier this year, Sony acquired the Nixxes study, which is a prominent study that has previously carried out several titles to PC. While Nixxes will surely end up doing a future job to take the Titles of PlayStation to PC, it seems that this acquisition of Nixxes occurred after Jetpack Interactive had already begun its development of dios of the PC.

As a whole, dios of war will land on PC in just under three months at this time. The beloved game will reach the platform at the beginning of next year, on January 14, 2022.
