New World: Asmongold s name was already awarded, developers should intervene

As you certainly have already noticed, the new MMORPG New World is currently very popular. Among other things, the title is currently the most popular game on Twitch and many players are confronted with queues of several hours.

However, the great popularity was another problem: in New World (Buy Now 39.99 €) every name can only be used once. Also not on another server. This has turned out mainly for larger twitch streamer than a special nuisance.

For example, a user probably claimed the name of the Youtubers Josh Strife Hayes for himself, as he did not like his videos. ASMONDOLDS name was also used by another player, which is why the popular streamer had to add an X at the end. This is important and nothing special and many players had to use an additional sign before, as their original name has already been used.

However, Asmongold is of the opinion that New World developers should make an exception for larger streamer. The name Asmongold should not be used by a random player:

I believe that the company and the streamer need a Creator program. In this program, the developers and the streamer agree on a name, which he then uses in the game.

According to Asmongold, the streamer should bear a greater responsibility through these measures. It also prevents other players from spending a popular streamer or try to sell the names.
